Today, it’s harder to define consumers strictly by upper, middle, or lower class because people have access to different lifestyles, cultural influences, and opportunities. For example, a middle-class consumer might buy a luxury handbag, while a high-income professional might shop at budget-friendly retailers like Target or Walmart. In U.S. histоry, there were аctuаlly twо Tuskegee (Alаbama) experiments.  One was during Wоrld War II that tested whether Black men were smart enough to fly airplanes including fighter planes and bombers--and of course they were. Dr. James's father was one of these pilots. The second experiment was discussed by Rothenberg author Linda Villarosa in her article about horrific research on enslaved Africans and the mistreatment of Black patients today.  In this second study, Black men in Tuskegee who sought health care treatment for _____ were denied that treatment but lied to and told they were being treated. Researchers then studied the progress of this disease in the untreated Black male body resulting in unnecessary deaths and disabilities of many Black men.
