You are called to the scene of a 16-year-old patient who fell while skateboarding. Upon your arrival the patient was responsive to painful stimuli as you opened the airway with a jaw thrust maneuver. The patient does not respond to any painful stimuli below the level of the shoulders. There is no obvious bleeding; however, your assessment does reveal a deformity around C7. The skin is pink and warm. The blood pressure is 70/40. What type of shock is this patient experiancing?
