Kаthleen is а 68 y/о pаtient with Rheumatоid Arthritis that has been diagnоsed for 10 years.  She is a retired banking executive and lives with her spouse Brenda in a one story condominium.  Kathleen is 5'3" tall and weighs 115 pounds and also has osteoporosis and is a chain smoker.  She has had a recent flare up of inflammation that has affected both hips with limited ROM to 90 degrees of flex to (-20) degrees of extension. Hamstring  tightness has occurred in her knees from her posture and she is using a rollator walker to move about her home. She maintains a kyphosis with standing posture.  The PT has completed a home visit to do the evaluation and is sending you out tomorrow with a HEP that he wants to preview with you before the end of today.  What are you going to plan for Kathleen?  Should you offer her information on how to stop smoking?
