Your 89 year old Vietnam veteran presents to the wound clinic with a non healing wound to the right anterior lower leg after he hit his leg on the edge of his living room coffee table. He lives along in her apartment and has a personal care attendant that visits in the morning and the evening for one hour. He is able to ambulate short distances with a quad cane and wears an AFO to right leg. The wound measures 3.8×3.8×1.2cms and has moderate drainage. PMH: CVA with right hemiparesis of leg and arm, HTN, small bowel obstruction, rheumatoid arthritis (on chronic steroids), tobacco use (quit 3 years ago) Lab/tests: Venous duplex: negative for DVT ABI study: 0.85 BMI: 35
