Your patient is a 40 year old male (80 Kg) who complains of a sudden onset of stabbing chest pain and dyspnea. He has no other medical history except for injuring his knee a week ago after playing a wild game of “combat football.” He has had a snug ACE (elastic) bandage around his knee for the past week so he could make several lengthy business trips. Earlier this week he experienced some lower calf pain but it was somewhat relieved when he loosened the ACE bandage.
