A 9-year old boy is taken to his dentist complaining of swelling and discomfort in his right mandible. The boy is otherwise healthy. Dental examination indicates that the patient’s teeth are normal in appearance, but a 1.0 x 1.5 cm swelling is present in the right mandible.
