A systematic review and meta-analysis examined the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) on anxiety symptoms in adults with generalized anxiety disorder. The pooled analysis included 12 RCTs (n = 1,840). The forest plot showed a standardized mean difference (SMD) of −0.72 (95% CI: −1.10 to −0.34, p = 0.0002), with I² = 68%.
