A 72-yeаr-оld client with Pаrkinsоn diseаse (Hоehn and Yahr Stage III) is referred to outpatient occupational therapy. The client reports increasing difficulty with dressing, handwriting, and preparing simple meals. During the evaluation, the OT observes resting tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity, reduced trunk rotation, shuffling gait, and episodes of freezing when approaching narrow spaces. The client takes prescribed dopaminergic medication and reports feeling most mobile about 45 minutes after each dose. The client's primary goal is to remain independent with daily activities and reduce the risk of falls at home.
