While reading group posts in an early education group you follow on social media, you come across this post: To all the EC Educators, Save us from all these new fads in education like the DAP stuff that is highlighted in this group.  I say it’s time we stopped fooling around and got down to the business of teaching our children what they need to know – reading, writing, and arithmetic. No wonder we’re not number 1 in education – students are just playing all day and teachers are milling around not really teaching. If we’re going to educate our youngsters well, we need to start early and get them used to what real school is like.
