Extra credit essay, worth up to 5 points. What is the definition of adaptive radiation? In class we discussed a few examples of adaptive radiation. Pick an example of adaptive radiation (it does not have to be one we discussed in class) and explain/ discuss the various ecological factors that allowed adaptive radiation in that instance to be successful. You may want to do a quick search/ review of ecology to help answer this question – we did talk about these factors in class although I did not specifically call them out as I talked about them through our talk about pieces of evolution.
