Joe presents today with the CC: ” I have a sore on my penis”. He reports that he returned from his buddy’s bachelor party in the DR 2 weeks ago. During his trip there, he endorsed that on several occasions he consumed 12 servings, usually of mixed alcohol drinks over the course of a long evening. During these drinking binges, he had unprotected intercourse with several partners. Joe relates that about 48 hours ago he developed a painless, solitary lesion on his penis. On exam, he is afebrile, you observe a solitary, 1 cm, nontender, firm, round lesion with indurated borders with a clear base on the glans penis. He has no regional adenopathy or swelling. No lesions observed in genital area or genitals.This presentation and history are consistent with:
