Precisely, you will learn how to choose and focus on a topic, generate ideas into topic sentences, support your ideas with specific details, identify an appropriate audience, organize your thoughts so others can understand your message, and finally revise your rough drafts to make a better appeal to audience. You will also learn different patterns of essay developmentânarration, exemplification, cause/effect, comparison/contrast, and argumentation.
