REAL STORY: Russia is attempting to sue the singer Madonna for over $10 million for advocating gay rights at a concert she gave in Moscow a few years ago. A Russian interviewed for the newspaper article expressed why he thought Madonna was damaging to his country and should be held liable: “Maybe someone does not see the link but after Madonna’s concert maybe some boy becomes gay, some girl becomes lesbian, fewer children are born as a result and this big country cannot defend its borders–for me it causes moral suffering!” (yes, these people are out there)…setting aside his ignorance of what homosexuality is, what fallacy does his argument commit?
